There will be a PTA General Assembly Meeting prior to the Open House on August 22, 2011.

There will be an election of Officers to serve for the remainder of the school year.  Also, the upcoming year's Budget will be presented for approval by the General Membership.

Proposed Slate of Officers:

  • President - Belle Trachtenberg
  • Vice President - Stenisha Green
  • Treasurer - Katrina Franklin
  • Secretary - Sherri Pinkham

If you haven’t already linked your MVP Card to support our school, please follow the steps below.
Thank you for supporting our school through the Food Lion MVP Rewards program.

 

1. Go to www.foodlion.com
2. Click on Community Outreach
3. Click on MVP Rewards
4. Click Register your MVP Card
5. Click on the arrow that says, “Shoppers register here”
6. Once on the MVP Shopper Registration page, enter your MVP Card number (all 12 digits), your contact information and link it to our school. Our code is 214218.

Purchases of only the following brands will help earn cash for our school:

Spirit Night at On The Border

On The Border Logo

On Tuesday, August 16, On The Border is hosting a River Bend Elementary PTA Spirit Night!  If you visit On The Border for take-out, lunch or dinner, please be sure to bring a copy of the flyer so that ten percent of your food and drink purchases will be contributed to our PTA.

From 5-8 p.m. we’ll be raffling off a BRAND NEW boys or girls bike for one of our lucky students. Tickets are just $2 per each or $5 for three!

This is our first Spirit Night for the new school year and we hope to see you all there! Remember, you will need a copy of the Flyer which is available in both English and Spanish.
